The portraits of the people we spoke with were made by Bärbel Möllmann using a pin-hole camera. This technique demands from the subjects a moment of patience: they deal with the process of being photographed, remain still. The resulting images demonstrate a particular intensity. They reveal more than simply the external appearance of a person, their eye-colour, their hair-colour. The observer is given the illusion of actually becoming acquainted with the subject. This impression is reinforced through the interviews held by Julia Gerlach. Using the headphones the visitors of the exhibition can listen directly to what the young people have to say to them.
